However, when it comes to YouTube, you may need to have a different method.
YouTube is different than other forms of videos. You can’t have the same type of script for a YouTube video as you would for say a movie.

What you want to do is make sure that you have a brief explanation of what your audience is going to hear in your video.
You don’t want to spill all the beans in your introduction. Your audience isn’t going to have any reason to watch the rest of your video if you tell them everything in the first minute.
The brief explanation you put in your script should be a quick preview of everything you want your audience to know about without actually telling them.
What you say should hook your audience in a way that makes them want to stick around to learn more about what was mentioned in the preview.
Your beginning doesn’t need to be long at all. As long as you have something that gets your point across without actually saying all of your information.
Once you lock down your beginning and have your audience hooked, you can move on to the middle of your script.
This is where you’re going to have most of your script. The biggest chunk of what you’re going to say will be the middle of your script.

The other way that you can go with writing the middle of your script is to write bullet points containing your main points.
By doing this, you’re going to be doing quite a bit of free styling but you’ll know exactly what you’ll be free styling about, so it’s not like you’re going from scratch.
If you try to do everything from scratch and not write a script you’ll probably have a harder time smoothly going through your entire video.
You want to be able to get through your video as smoothly as possible. Completely freestyling everything is going to make that difficult.
So, when it comes to your bullet points, make sure they are just small explanations. You don’t need to write everything you’re going to say.
Write enough so that you know exactly what you can elaborate on.
You need to make sure that can actually elaborate on the points you’re making. You want your audience to be as informed as possible.
The only way for that to happen is to make sure that you fully elaborate on the points you need to make. Make sure your audience will have as little questions as possible.
After you’ve completed elaborating and presenting all the information you can to your audience, it’s time to finally end your script.
The ending is going to be extremely important for the final part of your script.
You could easily just simply end your script by putting something like “thanks for watching” and that’s it.
However, that’s not going to cut it on YouTube.
The one thing you need to make sure you have for the ending of your script is a call to action.
Calls to action are going to be vital to any script that you write for YouTube.
What is a call to action? It’s something that you say that directs your audience to do something.
So, when it comes to YouTube, it’s something like asking your audience to subscribe or like the video.
It could even be something as simple as asking them to comment below.
This is because YouTube is all about audience retention and interaction.
When your audience interacts with your videos more often, your videos will get shown to more people in the same niche.
When more people see your videos, your videos are going to be more popular.
Popularity leads to much more success on YouTube as well.
